Faith and Film - Episode Three

18/12/2014 12:27 pm

Brendan Gleeson plays a priest in 'Calvary'

It's the third installment of our 'Faith and Film' podcast series and, appropriately, it's a seasonal offering we have in store for you.

We're very close to Christmas but there's still time for waiting and reflection. As such, we thought Advent offered a good opportunity to look back on the year's films that have either an overt or covert faith-based narrative.

Our regular studio guest, film expert Fr Peter Malone MSC, joins us from Melbourne, Australia via Skype to give us his reviews and thoughts on movies that include:

  • Calvary
  • Exodus: Gods and Men
  • Noah
  • Stations of the Cross

So two big Bible blockbusters and two films that would perhaps be more suited to Lent and Easter rather than Christmas but we don't control the distributors!
