14/02/2018 11:49 am

As we travel on a journey of faith through Christ's passion, death and resurrection, this podcast series - 'Lent and Easter at the Movies' - takes us to the cinema as Fr Peter Malone MSC relates a series of thought-provoking movies to the day's Gospel reading.

One audio review is released for the Sundays of Lent and Easter. We also have a podcast for each day of Holy Week and other key dates.

Okuribito - Departures (2008)

"We are fascinated with the repetition of this ceremony of preparation for burial, the ritual meticulously the same, but the response of the mourners so different – and we realise that the manager and Daigo are contributing to a sense of human dignity and an acknowledgement of the life of the dead person as well as the survivors."
