World Youth Day 2013 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Hundreds of thousands of young people are set to descend on the carnival city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for World Youth Day 2013. Pope Francis will make his first Apostolic Visit to his home continent of South America since he was inaugurated the 265th successor of St Peter in March. It is always a faith-inspiring time where Catholic spirituality comes to the fore in the presence of the Holy Father. Everyone remembers their first World Youth Day. Whether you can get to Brazil or not, you can experience the online joyful noise from back home in the UK.

World Youth Day is celebrated from 23 - 28 July 2013.
